FEMINISM: PROJECTIONS OF GENDER AND BODY IN LITERATURE

o mark the 100th anniversary of Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha, the Goethe-Institut is launching a three part literary series “The Sound of Faraway Lands”. In this literary dialogue series, we invite artists from literature and other fields to explore the role of projections in intercultural encounters.

Join us for the discussion FEMINISM: PROJECTIONS OF GENDER AND BODY IN LITERATURE on 30th August at 6pm at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi.

In the event, German writer Mithu Melanie Sanyal and Indian publisher Ritu Menon in conversation with independent literary agent Preeti Gill will explore how feminism and gender relations are reflected through literature in the two countries. By discussing the ways projections, societal norms and global movements have shifted the feminist discourse over time.

The literature series is curated by Mary Therese Kurkalang and Krisha Kops.
