UNREHEARSED FUTURES (Season 3) #12 | Unstable Classrooms: Re-learning practice through pedagogy

Jehan Manekshaw | DSM in conversation with Neel Chaudhuri | Playwright, Theatre Director

Another site of chaos and uncertainty is the space of learning, where the constantly evolving questions of a student’s body in perpetual transition brings all that was certain, back into a space of pedagogical contestation.

Neel Chaudhuri, who has been working in these heightened chaotic spaces through a period of highly fluid pandemic and post-pandemic teaching at Drama School Mumbai, joins us to speak on new pedagogical spaces where nothing is known and everything is up for destruction and regeneration.

Overview:
Unrehearsed Futures is a series of public conversations between heads of drama schools and leading performance trainers from across the globe to discuss and address the new realities of teaching drama. These discussions look at pedagogical approaches to teaching in the absence of presence, the benefits and challenges of alternative technologies, formats and mediums as well as planning long-term learning journeys against an uncertain future.

Time Zones:
08:00 UTC | 10:00 - Cape Town
