About the Event
We Are The Aliens We Are Looking For brings together works by Indian and international artists around ideas of the strange, weird and different that we often tend to 'other'. Thinking of the atypical in the feminine, the queer, the digital existence and/or the physical experience as a metaphor for the alien. And alienation as an act of othering. Perhaps the little aliens, the quirks and weirdness that we know inside of us, we seek, pursue or avoid and reject outside of us. That which makes us uniquely human and that which can remind us to 'dasein' together.

It will run at 1.Shanthiroad Studio/Gallery for one day only on 24th September, 12-9 pm. As part of the programme, there will be artist films and experimental video screenings through the day, alongside sculpture, drawings and experimental music.
