Festivals beyond the plate: Conversation on food in the arts
As we’re asking more questions about where our food comes from, who feeds us, who feeds those who feed us, why we eat in certain ways, why only certain communities cook certain types of food — we start to explore the transactions of food politically, culturally, environmentally and through so many more lenses.
How do festival spaces evolve to encourage or facilitate this inquiry? In what forms can we use food in the art space and what kind of provocations do we want to see more of in food in the Indian festival space? Join us as we discuss some of these pertinent questions.
