The Interdisciplinary Festival 'Frequencies: Feminisms Global'

From May 19 to 21, 2022, the Goethe-Institut is organizing the interdisciplinary festival “Frequencies. Feminisms Global”. For three days, resonance spaces for feminist debates and movements open up on the Pfefferberg site in Berlin and in the Sophiensaele – multi-perspective, intersectional and diverse.

The term "frequencies" stands for the polyphony of feminisms. It encompasses the range of relevant topics and concerns as well as the different feminist movements and waves. Discursive and artistic contributions by activists, authors, artists, media professionals, performers and scientists from Africa, Asia, Europe and South America make this diversity tangible.

The festival invites you to inspire the debates about feminisms in Germany and elsewhere with new perspectives, alliances and options for action. The focus is on transcultural and intergenerational exchange as well as raising awareness of the topic's relevance to society as a whole.
