Open Call: Brixton Art Prize

Welcome to Brixton Art Prize 2022!

An awards ceremony that celebrates the very best in the emerging arts.

Now open for your submissions!

The theme, in our very first year, is Conflict & Integration.

We welcome art of all and any media, from photography and painting to sculpture and installation. This is an art competition in its broadest form.

Cost for entry is £15.
The deadline for submissions is Midnight Sunday 15th May 2022.
This year’s ceremony and shortlist show will be held at The Department Store, Brixton, London from Thursday 30th June until Sunday 3rd July.
A generous prize structure with a top prize of £1,000 for this years winner.
We will work together with the winning artist to develop their vision into a solo show.
All entries will be showcased on our online hub after the show.
Bring your art to a whole new audience.
All profits go to community arts projects.

Brixton Art Prize is unlike other art competitions, as we care about the journey of art and the creative process, not just the possibility of winning. We aim to create a conversation about art and share information about creativity in Brixton and around the world over the course of the competition.

The competition is open internationally for applicants anywhere, using the cultural hub of Brixton as a base to showcase and celebrate your art from around the world.
