Festivals From India is an India-UK initiative made possible by the British Council. The digital platform is designed to showcase hundreds of arts and culture festivals across artforms, locations and languages. Whether you love attending festivals or are a festival manager, supplier, sponsor, advertiser, volunteer or just a curious cultural carnivore, Festivals From India is here to help.


The platform launches later this month. To celebrate the launch, we are hosting two events for the festival professionals community:


Festival Connections: Restructuring financial strategy for festivals


British Council’s Festival Connections bring to you a workshop on Restructuring financial strategy for festivals. Through this workshop, participants will dive into questions around financial strategy and the way forward – beyond the pandemic. The workshop will address issues such as the ‘ingredients’ for a good financial plan. What are the resources available? What market research does one need to conduct? What methods create an accurate but flexible budget? This workshop will attempt to answer these and other questions related to financing festivals!

The Festival Connections Networking Circle is a digital event that brings together stakeholders and professionals from the festivals sector on one platform to build connections, encourage collaboration, and explore new professional opportunities. Designed as a series of one-on-one meeting booths this event offers networking avenues for everyone associated with cultural festivals.
